1. What are cookies and local storage
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user's device. Similar technologies (such as browser localStorage or local app storage) allow information to be stored directly on the device. In this policy, we use "cookies" to refer to all of these technologies.
2. Cookies used by the website
The volleyfriends.com website does not use profiling, marketing or third-party analytics cookies. All assets (fonts, scripts, maps) are hosted directly on our servers: no requests are sent to CDNs or external services during browsing. The only technical elements present are:

The Functional, Statistical and Marketing categories in the preferences panel are prepared for potential future services but currently do not activate any cookies: no tools from these categories are in use. Should they be introduced, they will only be activated with prior explicit consent and this policy will be updated.
Subscription payments (court managers only): payment for the "Court Manager" plan takes place on pages hosted by Stripe (domain checkout.stripe.com), reached only when the user chooses to subscribe. On those pages, Stripe uses its own technical and anti-fraud cookies, necessary for the secure processing of the payment, as described in the Stripe cookie policy. During normal browsing on volleyfriends.com, no Stripe cookies are installed.
3. Local storage used by the app
The VolleyFriends app does not use cookies. It exclusively uses technical local storage on the device, which is necessary for its operation:

These elements fall under the strictly necessary technical tools, for which consent is not required (art. 122 Privacy Code). The app also integrates push notification services from Google (FCM) and Apple (APNs): the relative device token is processed as described in the Privacy policy.
3-bis. Local storage of the administration and management panel
The web panel on admin.volleyfriends.com (reserved for administrators and court managers) does not use cookies: it exclusively uses technical local storage of the browser — session token, access role, language and display preferences (e.g. facility and court selected in the calendar). These elements are also strictly necessary for operation and do not require consent; they are deleted upon logging out of the panel or clearing browser data.
4. Managing preferences
Upon your first visit to the website, a banner appears allowing you to accept all cookies, proceed with only the necessary ones, or customise the categories. You can change your choice at any time:
You can also delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings. Disabling necessary technical elements may compromise the functioning of the website.
5. Updates
Any changes to this policy (for example, due to the introduction of new tools) will be published on this page with an updated version and, if they involve new processing subject to consent, the banner will be presented again.
